Your MBA has received a notice from Brushy Mountain Bee Farm (a well known and respected supplier of beekeeping equipment) that they are offering free shipping on first orders for any new student of a bee class. This is quite a good deal and we suspect that a lot of students in the bee schools that are happening around the state may want to take advantage of it.
Here are some of the details. First, your class instructor has to submit a list of students attending the class to Brushy Mountain. (Note to instructors, click here for a copy of the letter from Brushy Mountain on how to do this.) When placing their first order, the student must identify themselves as a new beekeeper having taken a class, and identify the name of the association and/or instructor (which must match that submitted by the instructor). Your name must be on the submitted list to qualify.
The free shipping applies to the first time order only. One order per household. Orders must be over $100 (not hard to do). And offer does not apply to truck orders, glass containers or pails of syrup/honey. Offer valid only for clubs east of the Mississippi (we are OK in this respect). Applies to “in stock” items only. Back orders will result in holding the entire order to ship together or a ship charge will be incurred for shipping backorders separately. Finally, offer valid for this calendar year only (2013).
Obviously, the program will require action and cooperation on parts of both the students and the instructors. So students… bug your instructors to get it done. So instructors… enhance your students first-time experience and get the list to Brushy Mountain.
