Greetings!

I manage the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Frankenmuth and have been wanting to get into beekeeping for some time. Our family farms 400 acres so I understand the importance of bees and would like to do what I can to help them. That being said, I would like to donate a free night's stay for the hotel to your silent auction. Please supply me with some details and I will get the certificate in the mail.

Thank you,

Chris Opperman

How can a company such as Monsanto be trusted to do the right thing. Shivers go up and down my spine ....
Our planet is being sold off to people who have no soul and all they care about is financial gain and world control!

Thanks, Mary. Actually, it is pretty easy. The key is having the radial arm saw. Once the jig is made, which only takes a few minutes, it is only a matter of clamping the jig on the table, turning the head of hte saw and going. In production, I can turn out dozens of hand holds in only a few minutes time.

The video was a learning experience for me. Hopefully, the next will be easier. Stay tuned!

great video Steve, although I have no desire in making hand holds, it was still an interesting learning. Very professional good job .... looks like to much work for me. I can see if you know what you are doing with wood ...you gave a lot of detail for woododworkers to follow along.

Hi Ann:
Last fall when we attended the conference I looked to see if there was a class in packaging honey for sale. I think there is a lot of science about what appeals to consumers in terms of presentation of product and wondered if you had thought about including a class on this subject in the spring conference. I am not in a position to teach this class but perhaps someone at the University of Michigan might be.

No, I do not have the plans for it. John Sinanis gave these to me and he had Lloyd make them for him. It is pretty simple, about 1.5-2 inch deep inside, basically a tray with a round hole in the middle, the rest is similar to the out cover, except the outside dimension of this tray matches the hive body exactly. I am sure you can find it on beesource.com.

Ok, I found one youtube video which you might find useful: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_WLCc21-Hk" rel="nofollow">here</a>
